Arsenal’s back room evolution continues today, with word that Jens Lehmann, last seen in a single 2011 appearance against Blackpool after leaving the club in 2008 and before almost immediately retiring again, is returning to the club as a coach. In fact, he’s already returned:

Lehmann replaced the legendary David Seaman in goal for Arsenal in 2003, and his first season was pretty good. He used that 2011 return to the club to get his coaching badges, and now he gets to use those badges at the club where he saw his most success. His role is “coach”, there’s not a lot more detail to it than that, but he’ll be there on the bench with Steve Bould and Boro Primorac this year.
