According to Get French Football, L’Equipe are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are back in the hunt for Arsenal’s Alexis Sánchez.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will part with their star forward, but they certainly would prefer selling the Chilean abroad rather than strengthening a domestic rival. German giants Bayern Munich were interested at one point, but they appear to have cooled after their rent-to-buy transaction with Real Madrid for James Rodriguez. Manchester City has long been seen as the favorite for Alexis’ services with Chelsea also rumored to have interest. If he does, in fact, force a move out of London, Paris would certainly be the preferred destination.
There is no report yet what the Ligue 1 runners-up will offer for Alexis’ services and it’s unclear what kind of offer Arsenal would accept. There was a report that £80m from Manchester City would do the trick, but they would likely accept a lower figure from a club outside the Premier League.
Stay tuned to The Short Fuse for further Alexis transfer updates this summer, either until September 1st or when he’s sold.
