Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal is inching closer to being a finalized deal and piece of business done by Arsenal FC. Negotiations had been ongoing as we reported earlier this week. Now things seems imminent for the Frenchman to head to London for some fish and chips.
Arsenal close to completing Lacazette deal. Final fee almost agreed & he'll then have medical & finalise terms to become #AFC record signing— David Ornstein (@bbcsport_david) July 1, 2017
If Arsenal wrap this up in the first week of July, it is a likely sign that Arsene Wenger feels Mbappe will head elsewhere and his pursuit of him will be over. After signing Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer in June, this would be Arsenal’s second summer signing. I would believe Arsenal would be thinking they’ll recoup 15-20 million of Lacazette’s fee on the sale on Lucas Perez. Presumably, Lacazette will take over the #9 shirt once Lucas has left the club. Another #9 bites the dust!
Let’s catch some highlights below.
The man scores goals. Since 2013/14 season for Lyon, he has scored the following:
2013/14 - 22 in 54 matches
2014/15 - 31 in 40 matches
2015/16 - 23 in 44 matches
2016/17 - 37 in 45 matches
Does that translate to the Premier League? It could very well and it looks like we’ll get our chance to see it first hand.
