Report: Bayern Munich to pry Alexis away from Arsenal?

If Alexis is going anywhere, it’s probably Germany.

John Cross of the Daily Mirror is reporting that Bayern Munich are ahead in the Alexis Sánchez sweepstakes, basically by process of elimination.

As we’ve all heard, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich are the three interested parties in Arsenal’s Chilean forward. In his report, Cross reiterates the point we’ve all come to believe: there’s no way we’re selling Alexis to a Premier League rival. It doesn’t matter how big the check or how much he begs, it isn’t happening.

So with Paris Saint-Germain close to signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, that basically just leaves Bayern Munich as seriously interested in forking over the funds necessary for any Alexis purchase. Reportedly, the Chilean’s representatives have been in Munich negotiating with the German giants and both sides are hopeful a deal can be reached.

This comes on the heels of Arsene Wenger proclaiming that Alexis and Mesut Özil will be here next year, unless they aren’t. Figuring out the futures of both superstars has to be Arsenal’s first priority this summer. Whether it’s sell, keep, or keep and extend, there needs to be some resolution on this matter. Until that happens, speculation over their future’s will only continue to grow.
