Arsenal’s 2017/18 3rd shirt leaked

Striking shirt for Europa League nights

As previously leaked and previewed here at The Short Fuse, Arsenal’s new third kit will change to dark grey/black/pink for next season. Puma has designed this shirt to resemble ‘London Nights’ aka Europa League nights. Arsenal last wore black in 2012-13 with the purple/black hoops shirt produced by Nike. You’ll also remember it from our memorable 2-0 win at Bayern Munich.

Fluorescent yellow this past season has turned to pink this year. Sead Kolasinac was hoping for fluorescent green to match his Hulk nickname, but we’ll have to settle for seeing the big guy in pink. I would bet on Arsenal wearing the same dark grey shorts with dark socks. Pink socks could be option, along with pink shorts once or twice depending on who we match up with. Against Ludogorets away this season we wore navy/yellow/yellow which I was a huge fan of versus the navy/navy/yellow they wore the rest of the season.

I rate this shirt higher than the away kit leaked earlier. My firm belief on away and third kits is they are remembered for what happens in them. If Arsenal have a legendary game or moment in these, they’ll become iconic and if we crash out of Europa League group stage, we’ll catch them on clearance by March.

Here’s to Mbappe holding this shirt up during the official kit launch!
