Post Match: Arsenal 2 - United 0

Mourinho suffering is enjoyable for all, right?

Well, that was dare I say it, enjoyable?

After a back and forth first twenty minutes, including close calls for both squads, Arsenal turned up the pressure for the rest of the first half. Ox was a menace the entire match and is continuing to excel in the right wing back spot. The first half came to a close with nothing to show for either squad, Arsenal feeling unlucky to not have scored and United being elated to be at half time.

54 minutes in, from a throw in, Granit Xhaka took two touches to unleash a shot from distance and with some help from Ander Herrera it skies past De Gea for a 1-0 to the Arsenal lead.

3 minutes later, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain on the wing, deep cross into the box, and a vindicated Danny Welbeck for a textbox header! 2-0, Game over.

Arsenal closed out the match out the following 30 minutes bringing on Giroud, Coquelin, and Bellerin. Finishing out the match strong and more importantly, not allowing United to get back in even with a consolation goal.

This result keeps us in 6th, 2 points behind United and 6 behind City. We have a game in hand on both of those teams. Liverpool sit in 3rd, with 70 points and we hold two games in hand on the Reds. The chase for Top 4 (insert joke here) is still on, next up Southampton on Wednesday. COYG!
