After months of soccer, it all comes down to the final event of the season. Arsenal, appearing in their 3rd FA Cup final in 4 years, vs League Champions Chelsea for the FA Cup. Arsenal are limping in with uncertainties at all postions; Chelsea are bloody Chelsea. To say this will be a hard game for Arsenal is an understatement.
But for all that, it’s one game where all that matters is who shows up. Wenger holds an excellent record in this competition and nothing would be more fitting that his men to put one more over their London rivals and potentially give us that sunset narrative to make us all feel a lot better about Wenger’s final year(s).
Which could inevitably lead to a contract extension. Yay!
Yay?
Either way, playing for stuff is far superior to not playing for stuff so let’s cram one more FA Cup into that trophy case and deny Chelsea a double. C’mon you Gunners!
