Arsenal have cut season ticket prices by 10 percent for next year, to reflect the lower prices and interest in the Europa League.

Canada may not have a huge domestic league with several tiers, but they have a Canadian Championship, to determine who gets Canada’s CCL spot. That competition kicked off this week.

The Short Fuse will start doing its season review stuff next week, after the FA Cup, but of course most other places have done a ton of that this week. The Guardian’s season review series included a piece about rule and format changes they’d like to see.

Very few soccer fans in America remember when Ajax was a world power. They may not be a world power any more, but they’re in a European final again at last.

I am certainly not a fan of Pep Guardiola on a sporting level, but as a human being with empathy, I am happy that his family, who was at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, were unhurt.

Real Madrid won La Liga for the first time in five years this weekend. Too bad they don’t actually get a trophy for it until next season.
