With only one year remaining on his contract, rumors continue to swirl as to where Arsenal star Alexis Sánchez will be plying his trade next season. Not long ago, we covered a report that German powerhouse Bayern Munich was willing to offer £55 million for the Chilean international.

Well, a new report from Chile should throw some more wood onto the Alexis-to-Bayern fire. According to the Chilean website Emol, Alexis’ agent is already in Munich to hammer out a contract.

Now, I’m afraid to say that I’m not much of an expert on Chilean media, so I have no idea just how reliable this source is. So, for now, take this report with a grain of salt.

Still, given Alexis’ talent and performance this season, he is no doubt going to have plenty of big clubs interested in signing him. And given that Arsenal will be without Champions League football (and the extra revenue that it brings in) next season, plus the general uncertainty regarding the managerial situation, frankly at this point I expect to see Alexis leave the club this summer, whether its for Bayern or somewhere else.
