The Fourth Place Trophy may be out of Arsenal’s control and beyond its reach, but the Moral Victory Cup is there for the taking; Arsenal have won three in a row and five of their last seven, which erases the sad stretch that knocked them out of top four in the first place (even if it doesn’t undo the damage).
Two more wins and Arsenal end on five straight wins, which is a nice little fillip as they head towards the FA Cup final. Winning out and missing the top four would suck, but the club is doing all it needs to do to be in position if Liverpool or Manchester City slip up. It’s still not satisfying, but at lest the season is turning around a bit.
