Occasional shot stopper and frequent calamity goalkeeper David Ospina may miss tomorrow’s visit of West Ham after picking up an injury against Manchester City on Sunday. Ospina, who conceded 3 goals against West Ham last season, suffered a back injury after falling heavily during some point against Manchester City, perhaps when he flapped at a cross and was crashed into by John Stones.
With Petr Cech already out injured, Arsene Wenger will have to turn to third choice keeper Emiliano Martinez. Martinez has played 50 first team games for Arsenal and his various loan clubs, but has only played 4 times in the Premier League, all in the 2014-15 season. Yet Martinez, 24, is a fine shot stopper, and unlike Ospina, can actually kick the ball beyond the halfway line. He is also 6’4, which could make him a better fit for the aerial game that West Ham will deply tomorrow evening.
