After a week off, a week that saw Arsenal stay in fourth only thanks to Leicester City finally remembering they’re defending champions, Arsenal are back at work this week, traveling up to Liverpool for a Saturday morning/afternoon (delete as appropriate to your time zone) clash.
When:
Saturday, March 4th, 2017
9.30 AM PT/12.30 PM ET/5.30 PM BT
Where:
Anfield, Stanley Park, Liverpool
Importance:
Arsenal are fourth, but only hold that position over Liverpool by a single point. A win here would see Arsenal get to second place, at least until Sunday when Tottenham take on Everton and Manchester City play Sunderland. A loss to Liverpool and wins from Spurs and City would see Arsenal in sixth, but more importantly three points out of fourth place (albeit with a game in hand over Liverpool). Certainly not an insurmountable gap, but also not ideal.
Player News:
Kos is back! Ramsey’s back! Health is being achieved!
Probable starters:
Given the pile of freshly-healthy Gunners available, I’d guess this would be as close to a “normal” Arsenal as we’d hope to see.
Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Gibbs, Coquelin, Xhaka, Walcott, Özil-Welbeck, Alexis
