Arsenal head up to West Bromwich, gateway to Wednesbury, this morning (well, I’m assuming they got there yesterday, but you know) in pursuit of three points that will keep them in touch with the leaders. They’re the first game of the day; Chelsea play Stoke following this one, Manchester United play Middlesbrough on Sunday, and Liverpool and Tottenham play each other that day.
A loss doesn’t end Arsenal’s season, but it would, assuming that there is a winner in the Liverpool/Tottenham game, make the pursuit of fourth place that much harder. Arsenal have two games in hand on Liverpool and one on the top three, but they also have won only one Premier League game since February 1, so they’ve got themselves some work to do.
