There was a game involving Arsenal that saw a team score five goals in it, and for the first time in weeks, that team wasn’t Arsenal’s opponent! Arsenal cruised to the semifinals of the FA Cup today, easy 5-0 winners over Lincoln City, and things are good in most of the Arsenal world, at least for a day.
I say “most”, though, because Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had to leave the game in the 27th minute with an injury. After the game, Arsene Wenger said it “looks a hamstring problem” and that the club will assess the severity of it on Monday.
With a lot still to play for in a league campaign with 12 games left, this is not great news - hopefully it’ll be minor and Ox will only miss a game or two, because Arsenal need all hands on deck for the rest of the season in order to shake off the three-wins-since-February-1st malaise that they’re in right now.
