Arsenal may be looking to grab not one but two players from Serie A club Napoli, if The Sun is to be believed. Which, **Ron Howard Arrested Development narrator voice** it probably isn’t.
Nonetheless, the two players in question are attacking midfielder Lorenzo Insigne and Faouzi Ghoulam. The report states that Arsenal scouts were in attendance at a recent Napoli match against Atalanta.
Interestingly, The Sun writes, Insigne is believed to be Arsenal’s top target in the next transfer window. Unfortunately, the report doesn’t really specify whether the club is looking to sign Insigne to boost its attack, or as an insurance policy if Mesut Özil and/or Alexis Sánchez leaves.
Insigne has certainly played well this season, scoring nine goals and registering six assists in all competitions for the third place team in Serie A. Of course, he won’t come cheap, as Napoli will likely be looking for an offer of more than £44 million.
As for Ghoulam, he is mentioned as a possible successor to Nacho Monreal at left back. Antonio Conte’s Chelsea has reportedly also been heavily interested in the Algerian defender.
