Arsenal have been drawn away to Championship side Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round.
The match will take place during the weekend of January 5th to 8th, 2018.
Arsenal last faced Nottingham Forest in the 2016-17 EFL (now Carabao) Cup, where they won 4-0 with a heavily rotated side, that saw goals from former gunner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, (technically still a gunner) Lucas Perez and Granit Xhaka.
Nottingham Forest currently sit in 13th place in the Championship 27 points and a negative 5 goal differential. They are lead in goals from Kieran Dowell and Daryl Murphy with seven a piece. They also feature former Arsenal academy graduate Armand Traoré at left back.
Drawing against a Championship side should hopefully allow Arsenal to rotate after the busy holiday slate of games.
The most glamorous draw of the third round is the Merseyside Derby with Liverpool hosting Everton for the second time in just over four weeks time. The Brighton vs Crystal Palace and Manchester City vs Burnley, are the other Premier League vs Premier League match ups.
