After discouraging road draws against Southampton and West Ham, Arsenal square off against Newcastle United, currently 16th in the Premier League, on Saturday morning at the Emirates. The friendly confines of the Emirates will be a welcome sight for the Gunners, who, prior to the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United a few weeks ago, had won 14 straight at home.
As their place in the table suggests, Newcastle United is in serious trouble - they’ve managed to win just one point in their last eight Premier League games, a dreadful stretch of form that has sparked turmoil and frustration behind the scenes. Anything but a comfortable Arsenal victory would be a disappointing outcome for this match.
