Sunday’s match against Manchester City is a pretty big one. Despite what you think of Arsenal’s title chances, any hope of being relevant this season could hinge on a good showing against the table toppers. Fortunately, Arsenal remain fairly healthy with no new additiosn to the injury list.

Arsene Wenger stated today in the pregame press conference that there is little in the way of returns to the squad. Danny Welbeck, David Ospina and Shkodran Mustafi are all progressing but not ready. Wenger expects all three back after the international break but highlighted the most caution with Mustafi. He might be the extra few weeks on the injury case this time.

Calum Chambers is also training with the squad but is not expected to feature at Man City, so will also return to the squad after the interlull.

Interestingly, little was said of freshly injured Sead Kolasinac. Having limped off late against Swansea, worries about a long-term lay off for one of Arsenal’s most important players this season were openly shared. However, it appears that he will be reassessed ahead of the match and may even feature. Arsenal could sorely use him against high flying Man City.
