Friday cannon fodder: Open thread

Hi there! It’s been a while since we’ve had a purely open thread, so here we go! What’s on your mind? What are you up to this weekend? Any plans for your bonus hour of Saturday? My friends and I used to think that we could stay out at bars an hour longer, but bars still closed at the same time, and now I’m an old person and all I can think is YES MORE SLEEP.

Also: it’s November. Any plans for Thanksgiving? I love Thanksgiving, it’s probably my favorite holiday of the year. It’s got no religious obligations, no gift-giving expectations; it’s just a chance for people to get together with loved ones and eat themselves stupid. Some of my best memories as a kid/teen/college guy were of going to my family’s house and just hanging out.

Excited for Thor: Ragnarok? I’m fully in the tank for anything Taika Waititi does and I love that Thor looks more like a comedy than a superhero movie.
