Xhaka believes Arsenal can still win the league

He also believes that Santa is real.

Despite being 12 points behind league leaders Manchester City, Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has told Sky Sports that he thinks Arsenal are still in contention for the title this season.

Xhaka, still high off the tears of Spurs fans, believes it is conceivable that City could drop some points despite their blistering, undefeated start and give Arsenal the opening they need to climb back up the table.

"Everything's possible, I'm a person who thinks realistically but has dreams and fantasies as well. In football, everything is always possible,” he told Sky Sports.

While Arsenal looked great in their North London Derby win this past weekend against Spurs, it is hard to see City stumbling up enough to lose the title even though the season is still young. Injuries to star players could conceivably cause some roadblocks, however City have the depth to weather any such issues.

If Xhaka’s dreams are to come true then Arsenal will have to get three points against seventh place Burnley this Sunday. If the Gunners can make it five wins out of six against Sean Dyche’s men, then who knows?
