Reports swirling today will have you believe that Jack Wilshere is on his way out of the Emirates. The English midfielder is rumored to be wanted by La Liga side Real Betis.
Apparently the Spanish side have made contact with Wilshere’s representatives and he is open to the move.
This report comes after Wilshere has been left out of the English squad once again since coming back from injury by Gareth Southgate, despite a number of players being “injured”.
Betis can try to convince him to sign a pre-contract in January, when players are free to talk to overseas clubs in the final six months of their deal.
Despite only playing 25 minutes of football in the Premier league this season, Wilshere has expressed a desire to stick around and fight for a place in the squad. Wenger has also insisted that he wants to extend Wilshere’s deal.
Grains of salt, of course, and make of this what you will. If you’re Betis, though, why not take a pass at a player of Wilshere’s calibre if you can sign him without a fee? At the same time, I give this a 10% chance of happening. 10 because that’s Jack’s number and Ozil wants it.
