FIFA announced earlier today that Olivier Giroud’s scorpion kick goal against Crystal Palace last season advanced to the final round of voting for the 2017 Puskás Award, given to the scorer of the “most beautiful goal” of the previous year. Giroud has two challengers for the award: Deyna Castellanos, a player for Venezuela’s U-17 women’s national team, and Oscarine Masuluku, a goalkeeper for Baroka, a club in South Africa.
