After dispatching fellow Premier League competitors Southampton with ease this weekend, Arsenal enter the draw for the 5th round of the FA Cup, today at 11.20AM PT/2.20PM ET/7.20PM BT. The dream draw is of course Lincoln or Sutton United, which means Arsenal will draw Chelsea or Tottenham. Detailed draw information can be found here, and you can watch the draw live (or LIVE! as the marketers would no doubt rather me say) at the YouTube link below.
I was impressed with the second string on Saturday, particularly Danny Welbeck; if he can get a consistent run of form in this competition, he might be back in line for a regular first team place, or at least a regular “super sub” role. David Ospina’s been good in goal as well; overall, I’m pretty happy with the depth pieces at Arsenal at the moment, and if they can depth-piece their way to another FA Cup, I’m even happier.
