After an easier-than-we-all-thought win in the Cup on Saturday, Arsenal get right back into league business with a visit from Watford tomorrow. Watford, fresh off of a 1-0 Cup defeat to Millwall, are eight points above the drop zone, so they’ll be coming to town looking to solidify their league position and remain above the relegation fray.
When:
Tuesday, January 31, 2017
11.45 AM PT/2.45PM ET/7.45PM BT
Where:
Emirates Stadium, London
Importance:
Winning is, as ever, crucial; Chelsea play Liverpool tomorrow (KO 15 min later than ours), and if that game doesn’t end in a draw, it’s not great for Arsenal if the Gunners don’t take all three points from Watford.
Player News:
Arsenal made 10 changes for Saturday’s game, so I would expect tomorrow to be more or less the “usual” lineup, with Arsene Wenger and Granit Xhaka once again sitting in the Clock End with the supporters...hahaha who am I kidding they’re in the posh seats. Anyway, Steve Bould will probably restore the usual suspects to the lineup as much as possible.
Probable starters:
Cech; Monreal, Koscielny, Mustafi, Bellerin; Coquelin, Ramsey; Iwobi, Özil, Walcott; Sanchez
