Arsenal recently signed a 20-year-old left back, Cohen Bramall, from the English Seventh Division. And young Bramall just sat down with Arsenal player for his first official interview as a newly minted Gunner.
“Incredible, incredible. It’s a dream come true… I can’t believe that I’m here already. It’s mental,” Bramall said, when asked what it felt like to join the club.
Bramall apparently trained with the Arsenal first team last Thursday and Friday before being offered a deal. When told Arsenal was interested in signing him, Bramall said, “ My mouth dropped, I looked at my agent. It was a pretty emotional response really. I just couldn’t believe it… couldn’t believe it.”
As far as playing style goes, Bramall, who has drawn comparisons with Ashley Cole, says that some of his favorite left backs to study are Marcelo, David Alaba and Arsenal’s own Kieran Gibbs.
“They bomb forward, and that’s my key - my speed is the key to overlapping, trying to put the ball into the box and trying to get an assist. That’s what I do,” he said.
Well, here’s hoping he’ll get plenty of assists as a Gunner.
