As we celebrate the indeterminate exact date of Arsene Wenger’s 20th anniversary at Arsenal, our chums at NBC Sports have put out a video which features people in a nice restaurant, wearing nice clothes, sitting around and talking about his time at the club, and what Arsene has meant for the club and the game in his time at Arsenal.

I am fully aware of the irony of me posting this not long after Thomas posted My Dinner With Jose earlier, and I need to say that I wholeheartedly agree with that post; I honestly don’t understand why NBC chose one of Wenger’s least credible and most voluminous critics to play a part in this video.

I mean, it’s not like the host of a short-lived Larry King Live replacement series was or is a household name in the US now, and it’s not like he has any serious credibility, any more or less than you or I have anyway, as an Arsenal expert. His defense of his feckless, dumb criticism, when he bothers to offer one, is I’M A SEASON TICKET HOLDER, which let’s face it isn’t really all that interesting from a critical perspective.

Anyway. Apart from the sentient case of food poisoning that is Mr. Morgan, this is a pretty fun watch - it’s clear that everyone, even Morgan, respects Wenger tremendously and retains a lot of affection for the man. Which is as it should be.

Take a look, try not to punch your screen when Captain Dingus opens his food hole, and enjoy what everyone else has to say about the career of the best manager Arsenal has had since the 1930’s.
