Internationals are approaching again (Don’t Panic!) and the release of England’s U21 roster for the 2017 UEFA U21 European Championship Qualifiers against against Kazakhstan (Oct 6th) and Bosnia & Herzegovina (Oct 11th) means more games for Arsenal young defenders Calum Chambers and Rob Holding.

Chambers, currently on loan to Middlesborough, is still struggling to find starts having only two on the season, Arsenal’s opening day loss to Liverpool and Middlesborough’s 2-1 loss to Tottenham. More game time will be welcomed.
Rob Holding had a bright start to his campaign with Arsenal, covering for the rash of centerback injuries to start the season and perhaps a first choice for the League Cup roster. His starts will be harder to come by with the addition of Mustafi and Gabriel returning to fitness but he’s quickly become one of the best young defenders for England and a solid campaign for England might catch the eye of whoever is the new senior squad manager.
Both played for England this summer during the team’s win of the Toulon Tournament and both at the age of 21 now, will likely be looked to as leaders on the squad. Let’s hope both get time and neither gets hurt.
