AFC Bournemouth have officially announced their acquisition of Jack Wilshere on loan for the 2016-17 Premier League season. Between his own injury history and some of the personnel changes in the club this summer, it was going to be tough for Wilshere to get regular starting minutes, so he goes off with Eddie Howe to try to put himself back together.
Bournemouth are understandably happy to have him. From the club statement:
"Jack is a fantastic addition to the club," commented chief executive Neill Blake.
"He is a player that needs no introduction and one that, quite rightly, our supporters will be excited to see in a Bournemouth shirt.
"He will bring a wealth of international and Premier League experience, so we are delighted to be able to welcome a player of his calibre to the club."
Hopefully he’ll be able to get the playing time he needs and stay healthy for a full season, and come back better than ever. Hopefully.
