Kick starting your career back into form is never easy. So for Jack Wilshere, picking the right suitor for a loan is critical. Now, we have a clearer idea of his options:

So, lower table England or Portugal, eh? Hm.
None of the Premier League options are greatly enticing on competitive level, offering the standard English campaign, but each greatly require a midfield upgrade. Wilshere would see plenty of playing time, which is the whole point of the loan. We’ve already come down on the side of Pardew and Palace, which might work out well.
As for Portugal, have to think Benifica would be the better option, as they have Champions League games to look forward to along with the home campaign. However, Jack may have more competition for a spot and see less playing time. Would also buck a recent trend of English players playing abroad rather than staying in the safe waters of home.
Missing in this is Roma, who were earlier linked to a loan for Wilshere, which would give us what we all want: a reunion with Wojciech Szczesny, two of the bigger characters Arsenal has seen in recent memory.
Oh well; ball’s in Wilshere’s court now.
