After yesterday’s win against Watford, Arsène Wenger dropped a bit of an unusual bombshell, announcing that the expected signings of defender Shkodran Mustafi and striker Lucas Pérez were all but completed. That was good news, but basically all Arsenal fans are still waiting for two things to consider the deals Officially Totally Done: a tweet from David Ornstein, and an announcement on the team website. Well, it’s probably not happening tomorrow:
EXCLUSIVE: #mustafi signed 5-year-contract. Announcement on tuesday. His first Interview as @Arsenal Player soon on @SkySportNewsHD.

#mustafi announcement on tue because paperwork still has to be done. Tomorrow bank Holiday in UK. #Mustafi joins @DFB_Team tomorrow

So yeah, don’t get concerned or anything when there’s no announcement tomorrow. It appears that everything is going to be taken care of soon, and the player will be officially a part of the Arsenal team.
One assumes that the same goes for Lucas, as there’s no real reason that the two situations would be different. Both are coming from Spain, both appear to be basically done. We might even get the rare double announcement on Tuesday, which would be fun.
