Well, that’s not the news we were looking for to start the week. Following his injury in Sunday’s loss to Liverpool, Aaron Ramsey will be out “until after the first international break”, according to the Telegraph. The article puts his return at September 10, a home match against Southampton.

This is, obviously, not great. Leaving aside what has or hasn’t happened this summer, and who is or is not to blame for that - Aaron Ramsey was and is a key part of this team and losing him for a month to start the season is super frustrating, to say the least. All I can hope for at this point is that he gets an injection of whatever magic Alexis Sanchez has that keeps him playing 24/7/365 and that speeds his recovery and keeps him going.*

*I am not suggesting Alexis Sanchez is on PED’s but that he is made of magic
