Here we are, in fourth place heading into the last four games of the season. City won today, putting them a point ahead of Arsenal, which makes three points today vital for Arsenal's quest to avoid that CL qualifier-playing fourth place spot. This year's European Championships make finishing third a huge priority - that tournament doesn't end until July 10th, which means that it bumps right up against CL qualifying round play.
Those first three points of the last 12 are available today, against a Sunderland team that is fighting desperately to get out of the relegation zone - the three points that would help solidify Arsenal's CL spot are also vital to Sunderland and would leapfrog them over Norwich into 17th place, two points clear of safety.
If I cared about Sunderland, I'd probably feel for their predicament, but I don't, so I want another nice easy win like we had on Thursday, please and thank you.
