Two weeks in a row now, results aren't going Arsenal's way. Leicester and Tottenham both won yesterday, which I guess means one result didn't go Arsenal's way as Manchester City were Leicester's latest victim, but you know what I mean. Arsenal now sit fourth, eight points behind Leicester, but more importantly three points off second place. They can't reclaim second with a win today, thanks to Tottenham's superior goal difference, but Arsenal need to win today to keep pace with the chasing pack and have any chance at all at catching Leicester.
A win would also maintain Arsenal's cushion over fifth place Manchester United, who play Chelsea today after the Arsenal game. Inasmuch as any game is a game that Arsenal need to win, this is one of the more must-winnish games of 2016 - Arsenal is still in this thing, but maximum points today are needed in order for that sentence to be true this time next week.
