This could be the end.

In what's turning out to be quite a sad finale to an enjoyable career at Arsenal, fan favorite Tomas Rosicky has been diagnosed with another grave injury and it doesn't look like we'll be able to count on him for the stretch run of the season.

Yikes. Here is what he had to say on his most recent return to the pitch and the injury that followed:

I started to warm up and the reception was unbelievable and I will never forget it. Obviously it is the worse thing [getting injured again] and the feeling I cannot give the fans anything back at the moment is frustrating.

As I said it is heartbreaking I can't give them anything back after the reception they prepared for me, but in life things will be thrown at you and you have to deal with it. You are defined by how you deal with these things and I will deal with it again and I will be back again.

It's been a hard few days for me to accept. Sometimes you always say that you can always do better or that you can always improve more and more, but I don't know what more I could have done.

I've always come back from everything and I will come back again, I will not give up. I will make it happen once more, I will have the strength to make it, I will find it and I will be back again.

The 35-year-old Rosicky just came back from a seven month layoff and is in the last few months of his contract, given his age and recent crippling injury history it doesn't take a rocket scientist to read the writing on the wall and assume that his time with the club will come to a close this summer. When Arsene Wenger was asked if this will be the case, he answered, "I hope not but the injury is quite a serious one" so it might be safe to start putting together your favorite Rosicky YouTube compilations.

All the best, Tomas.
