Giroud has no plans to leave Arsenal

Despite falling out of the first choice starting XI, Olivier Giroud has no plans to leave Arsenal during the January transfer window, according to a quote from his agent on Goal dot com.

"Olivier is very well at Arsenal," his agent, Michael Manuello said. "He will make his season here. Nothing is possible in January. He has no plans to move during the winter transfer window.”

Giroud has been dropped from his role as the starting center forward this season, after Alexis Sánchez was moved into that role and subsequently flourished.

But Giroud has still managed to be a key contributor so far and he is a nice option to be able to bring on as a substitute, as evidenced by the fact that he has scored three goals off the bench in the Premier League. Besides, given the long grueling nature of Premier League campaigns, having plenty of depth is important.
