IT. IS. HAPPENING.
Maybe.
NBC Sports is reporting that Christian Pulisic, the savior of American soccer, has drawn interest from Arsenal.
Pulisic is a highly promising 18-year-old who is already contributing regularly to Borussia Dortmund’s first team, and would be a nice get for any club. Plus, if he does become the first genuine American soccer star, well that would be a pretty nice marketing hook for Arsenal as the game continues to grow in the U.S.
Tottenham Hotspur is also reportedly looking at Pulisic, which, blegh, and Liverpool, now led by former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp, has frequently been linked to the youngster as well.
There’s also the issue that Pulisic’s transfer fee might be as high as $31 million (that’s around £25 million). Which is a lot, but hey, I can throw in ten bucks if someone wants to start an indiegogo campaign.
Ok, so this is probably one of the thousands of transfer rumors that hits the internet but amounts to nothing. But at least now I can dream, and really, what is a man without dreams?
