Here in the Northwest, at least on the west side of the mountains, we don’t get a lot of snow. It may snow once or twice a winter, and that snow may be only an inch or two, but it’s enough to cause pretty serious traffic chaos if it hits just in time for rush hour, as it did in Portland Thursday night.
As I write this, I just talked to my neighbors, who spent the last four hours trying to get home from their jobs at Some Massive Shoe Company in Beaverton, which as the crow flies is eight miles from here. So yeah, snow day! Or, snow night! Either way, I’m glad I don’t live where it’s like this for four solid months or whatever - I like snow, but I’m not a huge fan of it always snowing.
You know what I’m also not a huge fan of? Jose Mourinho. Neither, it seems, is his former assistant Alberto Toril.
I’m guessing Morgan Schneiderlin isn’t a huge fan either, but he won’t have to worry about that for much longer.
The latest US soccer phenomenon, 18 year old Christian Pulisic, is on Liverpool’s radar, but Dortmund say he’s going nowhere.
The last US soccer phenomenon, 27 year old Freddy Adu, is, once again, looking for a place to play after seeing out his contract with the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
A brief history of English football at Christmas? Here’s one now!
Hey, remember when a bunch of rich European clubs tried to start a motorsports team? Yeah, me neither.
