Alex Iwobi to get (another) raise

He’s good, and his wages will soon show it.

Back in April, Arsenal’s promising young forward Alex Iwobi was given a new deal worth £25,000/wk. Which, you know, nice work if you can get it, right? Anyway, as we all have seen, Alex has kinda torn it up to start the season, playing really well and impressing everyone with his talent and his work ethic.

You know what else got torn up? His brand new contract. As a reward for his excellent form, he’s now going to double his wages, and his contract will probably come with a ton of incentives as well.

I wish my job worked like that - I’ve been here for just over a year now and I haven’t even come remotely close to doubling my wages. And I do a good job! Like now, when I’m blogging instead of doing my day job. That’s worth a doubling of my salary, right?
