Arsenal are targeting a young Italian striker, but will have to compete with Manchester City and Paris-Saint Germain for his services. Sixteen year old Moise Kean has yet to make his senior debut with Juventus, but several of Europe’s top clubs are already interested in signing the Italian national.
Calciomercato.com and Bleacher Report have indicated that scouts from Arsenal will be in attendance at Juventus’ upcoming match against Napoli with hopes of seeing Kean in action. Kean was on the bench for Juve’s fixture against Sampdoria but did not play. He is expected to make his senior debut for the club in one of Juve’s upcoming fixtures.
Already being compared to Zlatan and Paul Pogba, the young star will have have lofty expectations to live up to when he finally sees the field in Turin. Lauded as the next great Italian striker, he would be one of the youngest players to debut with any side in Serie A. Keen is currently playing an important role for the Italian and Juventus U17 teams.
With Italian media already labeling Kean as “the new Balotelli,” a hefty fee will likely be required to bring Kean to London. Kean seems like an exciting talent but he simply has not seen enough time with the senior team to determine if he is worth a serious investment. Arsenal will no doubt continue to watch Kean at Juventus as he refines his craft. If he continues to produce a large number of goals at the senior level, then Arsenal will have to fend off Europe’s best clubs in order to bring Kean to London.
