Arsenal get on the bus and head towards the Yorkshire Dales this weekend, but before taking in the scenic beauty of Chapel-le-Dale, there’s the small matter of a Premier League game against Burnley to consider. Work before pleasure, gents.
When: Sunday, October 2, 2016 - 8.30AM PT/11.30AM ET/4.30PM BT
Where: Turf Moor, Burnley
Importance: Arsenal haven’t lost a game since the opening day of the season, and they’ll look to continue that run against a Burnley side that is currently 13th in the league, but coming off a strong victory against Watford last weekend in which their defense again shut a lot of doors. Burnley have only allowed five goals in their last 17 matches at home, and Arsenal will have to be as sharp as they have been in the last couple games in order to break down those doors.
Key players: Xhakzorla is humming along nicely; Cech is back in the lineup after a midweek rest. Also, Theo.
Key injuries/omissions: Coquelin, Ramsey, and Giroud are out.
Probable (hopeful) starters: With the exception of the GK, I would assume the lineup will be the same as it was midweek.
Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Kos, Monreal; Xhaka, Cazorla; Iwobi, Özil, Walcott; Alexis
How to watch: In the US, it’s on NBCSN or NBC Sports Live Extra. If you are in the not-US, check out livesoccer.tv for broadcast info.
