After beating Burnley 2-1 on Saturday, Arsenal have drawn Hull City for the 5th round of the FA Cup. The tie will be played on the weekend of February 19th, and will be played at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal, of course, beat Hull City in the 2014 FA Cup final, and also faced Hull on the way to defending the trophy last season, with Per Mertesacker and Alexis Sánchez scoring.
The tie takes place the weekend before Arsenal face Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Arsène Wenger will presumably be delighted with a home tie against Championship opposition, which will enable him to rotate his squad.
Hull City have two players on loan from Arsenal: Isaac Hayden and Chuba Akpom. In previous seasons, Arsenal loanees have played against Arsenal in the cup, with Cup rules differing from Premier League rules. That has now changed, and Akpom, who scored a hattrick this past weekend, and Hayden, who is apostolos' favourite ever player, will both be ineligible.
