We knew this day would come - in fact we all hoped it would, once news came down that Abou Diaby's Arsenal contract would not be renewed. We knew that the injured baby bird would heal, learn to fly, and find a new nest, and so he has.

Word today that a rumored deal is officially official - TSF and Arsenal fan favorite and medical horror story Diaby has signed a two-year deal with Olympique Marseille and will hopefully light up the French leagues like we all hoped he'd light up the Premiership.

Arseblog News reports that Diaby also had the option to play for West Brom on a pay-as-you-play sort of deal, which...I'm glad he didn't go to work for Tony Pulis, let's just put it that way.

We've said it before, and we'll say it again - we wish Abou Diaby all the best and nothing but good health from here on in.
