Arsène Wenger held his pre-match press conference ahead of the Community Shield on Tuesday, and he confirmed that Arsenal will remain without the services of the injured Danny Welbeck. Welbeck was reported to have returned to the training last week, but did not take place in first-team training at Emirates Stadium today. Arsenal trained at the Emirates for the annual Members Day.

David Ospina was present at the Emirates today, as he returned to first team training following his exertions at the Copa America. Ospina will compete with Emiliano Martinez for the role of backing up Petr Cech. He will, however, also be unavailable on Sunday, with the Argentinian Martinez presumably backing up Cech with Wojciech Szczesny joining AS Roma on loan.

Alexis Sánchez will also not be at Wembley on Sunday. The Chilean does not return to training until next Monday, having been successful with the national side at Copa America. He will also be unavailable for the first match of the Premier League season but may make the second match, away at Crystal Palace.
