1-0 Theo Walcott 50'

This is the dawning of the Age of Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

#JeffFC played well, assisting the game's only goal with a great diagonal ball for Theo Walcott (playing as a central striker), who did well to finish the move. Aside from that, though, the game was pretty uneventful. It was a stark contrast from the blitz of Lyon that happened yesterday, as Wolfsburg played much better, pressed well to give Arsenal work to do, and actually controlled much of the game in its early stages.

But Arsenal came alive in the second half, scored their goal, and closed out the game pretty comfortably. Jack Wilshere played pretty well, with his revived focus on passing the ball sometimes, and Mikel Arteta took another step towards shaking off the eight months of rust that have built up since Thanksgiving. Petr Čech also made his Emirates Stadium debut (well, playing for the good guys at least) and played very well, even making a great save after Andre Schürrle was called offside in the second half.

Next week we face Satan himself Chelsea in the Community Shield. The preseason treble is on the line.
