Arsenal's social media partner and occasional substitute Lukas Podolski is seeking to complete a transfer to Galatasaray following an unsuccessful loan spell at Inter Milan. Podolski, 30, scored only once in Serie A after moving on loan in January, and is still very much secondary to requirements at Arsenal. Podolski told Galatasaray's official TV station that "I would like to play for Galatasaray", predictably adding that "I have had a huge response from them on social media".
Podolski confirmed that he had had meetings with Galatasaray, which indicates that personal terms should be no issue. Rumours have indicated that the Turkish side would pay Arsenal around £2m, which although an £8m loss on his original fee, is not the worst fee considering that he earns as much as new signing Petr Cech, and getting his wages off the book would be a plus. The value of Arsenal's loss in social media presence has not been reported.
