Arsenal vs. Reading
FA Cup Semifinal
Saturday, April 18, 2015
9.20 AM PT/12.20 PM ET/5.20 PM BT
Wembley Stadium, London

One of the truisms of sports is "you never want to lose your last game". That's particularly true, obviously enough, in a knockout tournament, and Arsenal go into today's game hoping to extend their run in this year's FA Cup to the final.

And what about Reading? Well, it's just their FA Cup semifinal since 1927, having previously only made it as far as the quarter finals (most recently in 2011) since then. So, with their league season fairly secure and nothing else to play for, it's a safe bet that the Royals will come out like crazy, trying to bring the residents of Reading something that almost none of them have ever seen: their team, playing in an FA Cup final.

As we mentioned yesterday, for both teams, most everyone is healthy and ready to go; this should be a pretty full-throttle affair, I think.  Days like this are why I love the FA Cup - if I were a neutral, I would totally be in Reading's corner for this one, because I love the idea of a team making it to the Cup final for the first time. I do not, however, love that if it's at the expense of Arsenal, so, I'm sorry Reading but here's hoping your fairytale will wait one more year.
