After a series of "What is this?" draws against Premier League sides in prior 2014-15 FA Cup draw, including a hilarious 3rd Round draw that placed Arsenal against fellow 2014 finalist Hull City, and the previous draw which placed Arsenal into Old Trafford (which worked out quite nicely, actually), Arsenal guaranteed that they'll avoid a Premier League side in the semis.
Arsenal was drawn against either Bradford or Reading -- those teams tied on Saturday at Bradford's lush and well-groomed Valley Parade, and will play the return tie at Reading's Majedski Stadium at 4 p.m. EDT next Monday night.
In the other semi-finals, Aston Villa will meet the winner of the Liverpool-Blackburn return tie at the Rovers' home stadium, but who are we kidding this is all coming down to an epic Arsenal-Liverpool final. (The Liverpool-Blackburn match will take place April 7, three days after Arsenal hosts Liverpool in what could be a preview of that history-rich potential final.)
The FA Cup semis also means that Arsenal's April 18 home tie against Sunderland will be moved.
