I'm not even sure where to start. Arsenal won a 2-1 game that was helped in no small way by Manchester United doing what they do - playing shambolically - but this time, David de Gea didn't make every insane save, only making most of them.
Manchester United got booked for diving, Angel de Maria got sent off for shoving a ref, and Arsenal turned in a performance that, while not vintage, was certainly enough to see off United and send Arsenal to Wembley for the semifinals in mid-April.
This game...wow. I listened, wasn't able to watch, but this game had all the tension, speed, and excitement of most of those late 1990's/early 00's Arsenal/United games - I couldn't even deal with listening for the last 10 minutes because my nerves were shredding just like they did back then. It could be argued that the game wasn't as quality as those encounters, but you know what? I don't care, this was a full-speed-ahead game that is a great argument for the awesomeness that is the FA Cup. And Arsenal won. Go celebrate.
