The transfer rumor mill never stops, not even on Christmas. Yesterday, it was Mohamed Elneny linked with the Gunners. Today, Portuguese sports news source O Jogo is supposedly running quotes from Arsenal scout Luis Boa Morte that Arsenal are interested in signing FC Porto's defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira. I say supposedly because I cannot read Portuguese. Here's a picture of it.

Ex-Arsenal player & now the club's Portugal scout, Luís Boa Morte, has confirmed the interest in Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira to O Jogo.

Boa Morte also said that Arsenal have no intention of bying Rúben Neves: "I went to Madeira, but not to watch Neves. He's an 8, not a 6."

Boa Morte: "Danilo plays with a lot of confidence. Now he uses both feet, he shots more & make long-range passes. He's 24 & on the rise."

Boa Morte: "It's not just the length of Danilo's passes that has improved, but also the quality. He has grown game by game."

As of yet, Danilo had never been linked to us. There were numerous people saying Arsenal were scouting Danilo's teammate, Ruben Neves. Apparently that was off? Who knows.
Danilo is a Portuguese international as of this year so, that's good, I suppose. Doesn't seem realistic to me that an Arsenal scout would go on record about a potential target at this point, but what do I know? Yet another name to keep an eye on as we near the January transfer window.
