Arsenal beat Everton relatively handily this morning, scoring twice in a five minute span near the end of the first half to make the Toffees' single subsequent goal a moot point. The Gunners were mostly dominant, and could perhaps have netted another goal or two past what they got – and honestly, as you'll see here, Everton's goal was firmly against the run of play.

Olivier Giroud scored first, off a sublime pass from Mesut Özil, and only a few minutes later a free kick by Santi Cazorla found the head of Laurent Koscielny and then the back of the net. Just before halftime, an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain shot led to an Everton counter, and a Ross Barkley shot glanced off of Gabriel and into the goal.
